Assistants

Build your site by talking to an assistant

Connect Claude or Codex to Tessolo and ask it to create pages, rewrite copy and publish — using your own AI subscription.

Starter and above

You can connect an AI assistant you already pay for — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor — to your Tessolo workspace, and then just tell it what you want:

Add a page for the September workshop: hero, agenda, and a sign-up form asking for name, email and company.

The assistant creates the page, fills in the copy, and shows you what it did — including a screenshot and a link you can open to see the page yourself. Nothing goes live until you (or it, if you allowed that) publish.

This is not the same as the AI inside Tessolo

Two different things, and it's worth being clear about which is which:

Inside TessoloYour own assistant

Whose AI budgetOurs — it counts against your monthly allowanceYours — your Claude or ChatGPT subscription
What it's good atQuick edits while you're already in the editorLong jobs, many pages at once, working from notes you already have

Neither replaces the other. If you're already in the editor, the built-in AI panel is faster. If you live in an assistant all day, connecting it means you never have to switch.

What it can do

Create a site from a template, add pages and sections, rewrite copy across many pages at once, change the colours, fill a content collection, run the pre-publish checks, publish, and roll back. Full list — including what it deliberately can't touch — in What it can and can't do.

It can read these docs too

Everything on this site is listed at tessolo.com/llms.txt — a plain index of every help page. If the assistant isn't sure how something works, point it there and it will read the right page instead of guessing.

Which assistants work

Claude Code, Codex and Cursor all connect. So does Claude on the web and the Claude desktop app. Setup is one address plus one browser approval — see Connect an assistant.
