Video, files, fonts, 3D models and Lottie
Everything that isn't an image in Tessolo: embedding or uploading video, documents for download, fonts, 3D models and Lottie animations.
Video
Two ways to put video on a page, and they suit different things.
An uploaded file. Upload to Media (up to 200 MB) and pick it in a Video block. No third-party branding, no related videos afterwards, no cookies. Right for a short background loop or a product clip.
A link. Paste a YouTube or Bilibili address into a Video block. Right for anything long: those services handle the bandwidth and quality switching, which matters for a ten-minute video.
Rough guide: under a minute and decorative, upload it. Over a minute and someone might watch it properly, link it.
For a background video, keep it short, quiet and small. It plays muted and loops.
Documents and downloads
PDFs, price lists, spec sheets: upload them like anything else, then copy the link and paste it into a button or link block.
They aren't picked directly in the editor the way images are, because a document isn't something you place — it's something you link to.
Give the link an honest label: "Download the spec sheet (PDF, 2 MB)" rather than "Click here". People like knowing what's about to happen.
Fonts
Upload a .woff2 file and it appears in the theme's font dropdowns, marked as custom.
Two things to check first: that your licence covers web use (separate from desktop use for most commercial fonts), and that you've uploaded every weight you use. See fonts.
3D models
Upload a .glb file (up to 25 MB) and pick it in a
3D model block. One self-contained file — .gltf is not accepted,
because its textures live in separate files that cannot come with it.
Compressed models work as they are: Draco meshes and KTX2 textures decode from our own servers, so they load the same everywhere, including places where Google's CDN is unreachable.
Lottie animations
Lottie is a small animated graphic — an icon that draws itself, a loading illustration.
Upload a .json or .lottie file and place it with the Lottie animation block.
They're a fraction of the size of a video of the same thing and stay sharp at any size. Designers export them from After Effects, and there are libraries of free ones.
Use them like punctuation. One animated icon draws the eye; five compete with each other and with your text.
A different image per device
Show a different image on phones in Tessolo — say a tall crop of a wide hero — without adding a field, including for section backgrounds.
What the AI can do
What Tessolo's AI can do in the editor: four modes, one monthly allowance, nothing applied until you accept it, and what it never touches.
